I like to keep my guacamole simple and basic.

1 avocado
2-3 cloves of garlic (more or less depending on your preference)

Start by cutting the avocado in half, removing the pit, then slicing the avocado while still in the skin.

Scoop the avocado out and smoosh it with the back of a spoon until it is mostly smooth. A few chunks are just fine.

Mince the garlic and mix into the avocado.

Crazy Food Trends

Gluten free, fermented, raw, whole, real foods.

What trends (for lack of a better word) have you tried and why?

I am gluten free (mostly) for health reasons, and switching over to a more whole/real food based diet.

I am starting to experiment with making my own yogurt and brown rice sourdough.

I would love to know what others are doing!

Other Ways to Connect With Me

I wanted to share my other social media information with everyone that has stumbled upon my blog.

I use Facebook as a way to connect with other bloggers and share most of the blog posts for Facebook people.

My Pinterest board is also my personal board, full of lots of great pins on food, home keeping, sewing and crafts, entertaining, and lots of home decor ideas. I am getting ready to overhaul and rename some of the boards, as well break down some of them that have gotten too big so things are easier to find.

Go to meals

Do you have a go to meal for when you have company over and need a crowd pleasing easy meal?

Mine is taco salad, the “secret” family recipe. I am working on overhauling it from overly processed food like products, to a tasty real food treat, that is still a people pleaser.

These are the ingredients (minus the family secret)

Nacho Cheese Doritos
Ground hamburger
Taco seasoning
Kidney beans
Iceberg lettuce
Shredded cheese

I plan on looking for real food replacements for the processed food over the next month.

Do you all have any recommendations for the Doritos? They are so yummy, and awful all at the same time. In the past I have never been able to find a tasty alternative.

I will keep you updated!
